A General Studies (GS) Foundation Course rooted in NCERT books (Class 6–12) is basically the first building block of UPSC / PCS preparation. These courses help you:
Understand basic concepts in History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Science & Technology etc. through NCERTs aligned with UPSC syllabus.
Build GS + CSAT basics, making advanced studies much easier later.
Often include notes, quizzes, mentor support, doubt clearing and sometimes test series.
Run from ~4–12 months depending on the institute.
